Major jazz guitar lick | lesson with tab | ionian mode
This lick starts with the sixth (A) of the C major scale (also called "ionian mode"). In the second measure you will play notes from the A minor 11 arpeggio (A-C-E-G-B-D) then this lick goes on with notes from the C ionian mode again (C-D-E-F-G-A-B).
The fingering is suggested.
Please note that this lick is just a working base to boost your guitar improvisation. Be sure to play this jazz line in twelve keys. You can add notes that you hear with fretting-hand effects like hammer-ons, pull-offs, slide,vibratos.
