What's a Major 7#5 Arpeggio?
An augmented major 7 arpeggio is a major 7 arpeggio with a sharp fifth (#5) in place of a perfect fifth. The formula is root (1), major third (3), sharp fifth (#5) and major seventh (7). Cmaj7#5 would be spelled C,E, G#, B.

How to Play Major 7#5 Arpeggios on Guitar?
The four following charts show how augmented major seventh arpeggios look on the guitar neck within the space of one octave.
The root note (R) gives the tonality of the arpeggio. For example, if you need to play a GMaj7#5 arpeggio using the first shape (with the lowest root on the E string) you will have to place the root at the third fret.
To play a GMaj7#5 arpeggio with the second shape (lowest root on the A string) you must start at the tenth fret, etc. Be sure to practice these arpeggio shapes in all twelve keys.
Major 7#5 Arpeggio - CAGED Charts
Another way of learning major 7#5 arpeggios is to use the CAGED method which consist of visualizing arpeggios forms based on the basic chord shapes namely C, A, G, E and D.
