The Prometheus Scale (Mystic Scale) - Guitar Lesson With Charts and Diagrams

The Prometheus scale aka Mystic Scale is a hexatonic scale (containing six notes) giving the following interval formula:

Tonic (1), major second (2), major third (3), augmented fourth (#4), also sometimes referred to as flat fifth (b5), major sixth (6) and minor seventh (b7).

It can be seen as the Lydian Dominant Scale (fourth mode of melodic minor) without the fifth.

Notice that it should not be confused with the Prometheus Napolitan that contains a minor second (b2).
