The Hungarian Major Scale - Guitar Charts, Diagrams, Shapes And Theory
The Hungarian Major scale is a seven-note (heptatonic) dominant scale characterized by its distinctive interval pattern, which imparts an exotic and somewhat Eastern European or Middle Eastern flavor to music.
Construction
The Hungarian Major Scale's composition is very close to the Lydian Dominant Scale (fourth mode of melodic minor) and the Romanian Major Scale.
The interval formula is : 1 (tonic), #2 (augmented second), 3 (major third), #4 (augmented fourth), 5 (perfect fifth), 6 (major sixth) and b7 (minor seventh).
