Minor 11th Arpeggios - Lesson With Diagrams and Theory
What's a Minor 11th Arpeggio
A minor 11th arpeggio is built with six notes corresponding to the notes of a minor 11th chord. The interval pattern is 1 (root) - b3 (minor third) - perfect fifth (5) - b7 (minor seventh) - ninth (9) and eleventh (11). It is nothing less than a minor triad with three notes added. You can also see it as a minor seventh arpeggio with an added 9th and 11th. Minor 11 arpeggios are used to play over minor chords and are an excellent choice when you want to add a little originality to your improvisations.
